Sometimes, things don’t go as planned.
I had every intention of heading out for a night shot, capturing some crisp stars against an old church, but nature had other ideas. Instead, I found myself indoors, looking for a different kind of shot.
Photography is just as much about adapting as it is about planning. So, I picked up the camera and focused on the small things—what was right in front of me. A book, a glass of whisky, and a sense of quiet.
This shot turned into something I quite like. The new lens is proving to be a joy to use, with just the right amount of depth and crisp detail. I’ll definitely revisit this setup with some refinements, but for now, it was a nice reminder that not every good shot comes from a grand plan—sometimes, they just happen.
Until the next one, when hopefully the stars will cooperate!
