Some mornings just feel like they require a reset. Today was one of those.
After a night of restless sleep, I laced up and got out for a run—13.5k, nothing extreme, but enough to clear the head, or at least attempt to. I won’t pretend it was one of those exhilarating, life-affirming runs; it was more of a steady plod, legs a little heavier than usual, mind still buzzing with background noise. But that’s the thing with running—it doesn’t have to be perfect to be worthwhile.
Breakfast felt like a small victory. Something about the simple act of making and sitting down to eat felt grounding. I took this shot before diving in, drawn to the way the light played across the crisp layers of the croissant. A reminder, I suppose, that even on days where the brain feels scrambled, there’s still something worthwhile in the everyday.
I think today’s about allowing myself to just be. No pressure, no expectations, just taking moments where they come. And maybe that’s enough.
